The UK has reportedly struck a deal with the EU on post-Brexit financial services.
According to The Times, London has agreed in talks with Brussels to give UK financial services firms continued access to the bloc.
The report said an initial deal on exchange of data had also been agreed. It added that the deal was expected to be completed within three weeks.
On the back of this, the pound has risen 1 per cent against the dollar in response.
