The number of new SIPP case complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service reached 1,025 between April 2017 to September 2017, nearing the total of 1,493 cases for the whole of 2016/17, new figures have revealed.
According to the Ombudsman's latest news bulletin, 50% of cases have been upheld compared to 56% between April 2016 to March 2017.
The total number of enquiries received between April 2017 to September 2017 has been recorded at 1500 compared to 1959 in the whole of 2016/17.
Between July to September 2017, the FOS received 717 enquiries, 498 new cases and 49% of cases were upheld.
