FRC launches investigation into audit of Patisserie Holdings financial statements

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has initiated an investigation into the audit conducted by Grant Thornton UK of the financial statements of Patisserie Holdings for the years ending 30 September 2015, 2016 and 2017.

It has been reported that the investigation will be conducted following the Audit Enforcement Procedure.

Furthermore, the FRC has also commenced an investigation under the Accountancy Scheme into the preparation and approval of Patisserie Holdings financial statements, and other financial information, by the company’s former chief financial officer Christopher Marsh, a member of the ICAEW.
