Danske Bank UK joins IMLA

The Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) has announced Danske Bank UK as the latest member to join the trade body.

Danske Bank UK is part of the Copenhagen-headquartered Danske Bank Group, one of the largest financial enterprises in the Nordics.

The bank’s head of GB mortgages, Patrick Mullan, will be the appointed IMLA representative, bringing more than 20 years of industry experience to IMLA discussions.

He commented: “We recognise the value IMLA brings to its members, and it will provide us with significant opportunities to collaborate with the industry, especially as we expand our mortgage distribution into the English market.

“We look forward to taking part in IMLA’s upcoming engagements, and meeting with its wider membership over the coming months.”

The addition of Danske Bank UK takes IMLA’s combined total to 59 full and associate members, spanning banks, building societies, non-bank lenders and mortgage service providers.

“We are delighted to welcome Danske Bank UK into membership and look forward to hearing more from the team at our upcoming meetings and roundtable sessions,” added IMLA executive director, Kate Davies.

“IMLA has long been the voice of a diverse community of lenders, and we look forward to hearing their views on a range of industry issues, and the association will no doubt benefit from the bank’s extensive knowledge.”
