One Mortgage System extends Tandem Bank integration

One Mortgage System (OMS) has enhanced its application programming interface (API) integration with Tandem Bank.

The move will see the mortgage tech platform extend the integration across Tandem’s second charge business to incorporate the lender’s new, custom built, broker origination system, Connect.

In December 2020, OMS completed an initial API integration with Oplo, before Oplo merged with Tandem in 2022 and this partnership has now been extended to incorporate all second charge activity across the business.

The enhanced integration will see OMS users benefit from direct access to Tandem Connect and its range of second charge mortgage solutions via a full two-way integration – providing users with the ability to generate fast lending decisions without the need to rekey any data.

OMS is the only end-to-end platform which covers product areas such as residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, and protection. It is integrated with several providers that include Ignite, Submissions Brain, Twenty7Tec, iPipeline, Hometrack, Experian, Equifax, Uinsure, Air Sourcing and Knowledge Bank, to provide users with product sourcing, protection sourcing and criteria searching.

Managing director of OMS, Neal Jannels, commented: “Tandem continues to strengthen its presence within the specialist residential lending market and in supporting the intermediary community to deliver successful customer outcomes and help clients navigate the ongoing cost of living challenges.

“Tandem’s ethos around helping more people in the UK to make greener choices that benefit both their pocket, and the planet is a highly commendable one and I’m sure that this API integration will further enhance this growing reputation amongst our ever-growing user base.”

Head of second charge sales and distribution – mortgage division at Tandem, Nigel Brookes, added: “We have been on a journey to substantially enhance our loan origination system capabilities by creating Tandem Connect. This has been further enhanced by integrating with OMS where the experience has been excellent, thanks to seamless collaboration with Neal and the team.

“The integration with OMS and access to Tandem Connect will enable brokers to process applications at pace and scale, bringing significant time and cost savings, delivering more value to our brokers and their clients.”
