Specialist property lender CapitAll Finance has joined the Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA) as a lender member.
BDLA, the main trade association representing bridging and development lenders in the UK, is continuing to attract new lender members as the specialist property finance market matures and becomes more institutionalised.
CapitAll provides bridging, refurbishment, commercial and semi-commercial property finance through brokers, who originate deals while the lender retains responsibility for underwriting, credit decisions, funding and loan management. Founded this year, the company is a relatively new entrant in the market.
BDLA CEO Adam Tyler said: “Membership of the BDLA demonstrates a commitment to those relationships and we’re delighted to welcome CapitAll Finance as our latest Lender Member.”
Richard Whitehouse, director at CapitAll Finance, added: “The BDLA provides an important forum for lenders to discuss the issues that affect the market beyond individual transactions. After more than 28 years working across alternative finance and specialist lending, I have seen how important disciplined credit, sustainable funding and strong intermediary relationships are to building lending businesses for the long term.
"Joining the BDLA gives us the opportunity to share that experience, learn from other lenders and play an active role in the conversations that will shape the next stage of the specialist property finance market.”
