Mansfield Building Society has introduced proc fees for product transfers across the mutual’s entire product range, including versatility, versatility plus, credit repair, shared ownership, buy-to-let and more. Through the product transfer process, existing Mansfield borrowers can choose exclusive products from four months prior to their current deal expiring. There are no fees involved with switching products, while brokers will be able to advise their clients on a range of fixed and discounted variable rates available to them. The society will pay 0.2% as a procuration fee to cases placed by intermediaries with an enhanced procuration fee to key club network members.

Butterfield Mortgages has appointed Navishna Arcson to the role of credit administrator. She joins the credit team after completing an apprenticeship programme with the mortgage lender and gaining a data technician qualification. Arcson’s responsibilities include documenting facility letters, liaising with solicitors and valuers, and the completion of new and renewing mortgages, as well as the administration of Butterfield’s loan book. As part of her new role, Arcson will now report to Butterfield’s head of credit, Anthony Neville.

Enrolments at Access Protection Academy have doubled since 2023. The academy, which is run by mortgage and protection firm, Access Financial Services, has seen the number of people enrolling on its courses increase from 10 a month in 2023 to 20 in 2024. The announcement comes 14 months after the appointment of the academy’s training manager, Peter Phillips. The academy is designed for newcomers to the industry, who start by learning about the protection market and products, as well as how to sell and manage clients professionally, in accordance with Consumer Duty rules.
