United Trust Bank (UTB) has made two new appointments to its bridging servicing team, adding Adetayo Odukoya and Tony Rose to the roles of head of serving – bridging and servicing manager respectively. Odukoya has worked in senior service roles for almost two decades with experience at companies including Santander, Acenden, and most recently, Pepper UK, where he worked as arrears and litigation manager. He will work to support the division’s wider senior management team and his immediate objectives include improving in-life customer service levels, and creating and implementing a strong framework for efficient loan journey management. Odukayo will be supported by Rose, who has worked in UTB’s bridging division since 2016 as a client liaison officer and most recently as operation and project analyst.

Newcastle Intermediaries has enhanced its large loan criteria and has launched a range of products to support the proposition. The lender has increased its maximum loan amount from £2m to £3m, and for borrowers looking to downsize via the sale of a mortgage property, the interest only option on the lender’s large loan range is available at up to 60% LTV from 50%. Furthermore, a two-year fixed rate at 6.45% at up to 65% LTV is available on loans between £1.5m and £3m, with early repayment charges of 2% and 1% before the end of 2024 and 2025 respectively. A five-year fix is also available at 6.15% up to 65% LTV for the same loan size, with early repayment charges of 5% before the end of 2024, reducing 1% every year after. Each fixed product requires a £1,499 fee.

Two senior appointments have been made at MorganAsh, with Peter Labrow and Tracey Johnson being appointed as head of marketing and underwriting and claims manager respectively. Labrow has 40 years’ experience in the financial services support sector, having worked as a journalist for Haymarket Group and as a marketing consultant for MorganAsh for more than a decade. He was also the co-founder of the newswire, Learning News, and was a founder of his own marketing agency. Johnson is a fully qualified medical underwriter and claims manager, working in the UK and Irish protection market. She was also an integral part of launching Bright Grey, which is now part of Royal London Retail, and has worked with Acorn, Allianz and Standard Life among others.
