SmartSearch launches partnership with T-Tech

SmartSearch has partnered with technology consultancy and accountancy automation provider, T-Tech, to simplify anti-money laundering (AML) compliance.

The collaboration integrates SmartSearch’s electronic AML verification capabilities with T-Tech’s automation platform, Practice Gateway, which is used by accountancy firms to digitise and streamline client onboarding and compliance tasks.

The aim is to create an automated journey that reduces manual data entry, accelerates verification and ensures regulatory confidence.

Through the integration, users of Practice Gateway will be able to get real-time identity and AML checks, powered by SmartSearch’s triple-bureau solution of Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

The checks take seconds to complete, with pass rates of up to 97%, enabling accountancy firms to onboard clients quicker, remain audit-ready and stay compliant with the latest AML regulations, all through a single platform.

Partnership director at SmartSearch, Kerry Cleary, said: "T-Tech understands the specific compliance and workflow challenges faced by accountancy practices.

"By embedding SmartSearch’s triple-bureau AML solution directly into T-Tech’s Practice Gateway, we’re making compliance checks smarter, faster, and more secure, with automation at the core."

Head of sales and marketing at T-Tech, Lauren Parker-Mitchell, added: "We are delighted to have engaged with the team at SmartSearch. Integrating with partners who are providing brilliant solutions to the accountancy market is the foundation of Practice Gateway and how it brings extra value to our shared clients.

"Our mission to revolutionise the way accountants and their clients use technology was the driving force behind Practice Gateway and a partnership like this continues to push that mission forward."
