AMI announces new board members

The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) has announced five appointments to its board following the conclusion of its annual elections.

All AMI board positions are elected on a rolling basis, typically for three-year terms, with existing members eligible for re-election.

In the club constituency, director of mortgage club and distribution at Legal & General, Clare Beardmore, and in the AFB constituency, Fluent Money CEO, Tim Wheeldon, have both been successfully re-elected.

The pair have been joined by network distribution director at Sesame Network, Toni Smith and chief risk officer at LSL Financial Services, Helen Martin, who have been newly elected to the network constituency.

Finally, group sales director at Crystal FS, Jason Berry, has been newly elected to the regional constituency.

AMI chief executive, Stephanie Charman, commented: “This process ensures that our membership continues to feel confident in its representation. I would like to thank all those who stood for election, reinforcing the importance of a transparent and democratic process.

“The AMI board also extended its gratitude to outgoing members for their dedicated service, Ray Boulger of John Charcol and Steve Harris from Sesame Bankhall Group who are stepping down after 23 and three years respectively.

“With a demanding regulatory landscape ahead, AMI remains strongly positioned to promote and protect the mortgage advice community.”
