Fleet Mortgages partners with Brilliant Solutions

Fleet Mortgages, the BTL specialist lender, has announced it has joined the packaging panel of Brilliant Solutions.

Adviser users of Brilliant Solutions will be able to use its packaging services for all Fleet’s products available in the three core areas – individual, limited company and HMO.

The new relationship with Brilliant Solutions followed Fleet’s recent announcement to make several changes to its lending and product criteria, and the lender said the changes will cover a range of criteria that includes loan sizes, valuations, transactions between connected parties and gifted deposits.

Fleet distribution director, Steve Cox, commented: “At Fleet Mortgages we are only working with the best packaging businesses in the country and therefore we’re very pleased to announce this new relationship with Brilliant Solutions as we go onto its packaging panel.

“There is a perception in the BTL sector that cases are increasingly complex – that might not necessarily be true however there are certainly more portfolio and professional landlords, and the product options available to them are growing.

“In that regard, advisers who may not be 100% au fait with the sector can use the excellent services of packagers like Brilliant Solutions to ensure they are securing the most appropriate product for their client. We are looking forward to working closely with the Brilliant Solutions team and to helping its adviser users develop their BTL proposition.”

Brilliant Solutions said that its packaging placement team will work with the adviser to identify crucial questions while filtering complex scenarios, in order to secure the most appropriate product for the client.

The firm said it will then work with the adviser to prepare the lender submission and ensure they address any issues that come up as the case progresses.

Brilliant Solutions managing director, Matthew Arena, added: “Having worked with Fleet's direct mortgage club proposition for a number of years we appreciate just what Fleet has to offer the market.

“It will be a real boost for brokers to be able access their products through our fees-free packaging team in addition to our direct to lender panel. Fleet is once again giving brokers choice and enabling specialists like us to support brokers in these key areas.”
