Foundation Home Loans expands lending into Scotland

Foundation Home Loans has announced it is expanding its mortgage offering to purchase and remortgage borrowers in Scotland.

The specialist lender’s range of products can be accessed by mortgage intermediaries through its distribution panel.

Foundation offers a range of residential and buy-to-let (BTL) criteria to support borrowers with more complex needs, providing product choices for both the employed and self-employed, professionals, individual and limited company landlords as well as borrowers seeking greener options.

The lender has appointed a new regional account manager, Fiona Robertson, who will be covering Scotland and the North East regions.

Foundation commercial director, George Gee, commented: “We are very pleased to be announcing our launch into Scotland today, kicking off the new year by expanding our geographic distribution, and welcoming the mortgage intermediaries who are active in Scotland to access our ranges of specialist owner-occupied and BTL mortgages for their clients.

“This is an exciting time for Foundation and we’re looking forward to building new relationships in Scotland, engaging with all stakeholders and providing greater product and criteria options for borrowers.”

Foundation has also today announced the addition of The Lending Channel to its distribution panel, which has joined as a new packager to support the lender’s broker partners.

Managing director of The Lending Channel, Alistair Ewing, added: “We are delighted to have been invited to join Foundation’s packager panel in Scotland, providing access to its fantastic products and helping them spearhead their Scottish growth plans.

“As an experienced packager with a number of other specialist lenders on our panel, this is a great addition for brokers for both buy-to-let and residential products. I would therefore encourage brokers to register now to secure immediate access to Foundation’s mortgages following today’s launch.”
