FutureFocus Advisory acquired by BRI Wealth Management

FutureFocus Advisory has been acquired by BRI Wealth Management for an undisclosed amount.

The deal will bring approximately £40m in client assets under management (AuM) to the wealth manager.

Gloucestershire-based FutureFocus Advisory, which was founded in 1999 by Colin Donlon, provides personalised financial advice across pensions, retirement planning, investments and life assurance.

Donlon said that the deal “marks an exciting new chapter” for FutureFocus Advisory and its clients.

He added: “BRI’s client-centric approach, cultural values, excellent team and bespoke solutions align perfectly with our approach at FutureFocus Advisory and I am certain this partnership will give our clients access to the even greater expertise and resources needed with their long-term financial and investment planning needs in mind.”

BRI, an independent wealth manager based in Coventry, said that the acquisition comes amid a record year of client inflows in 2025 for the group, which has taken its total funds under management (FUM) to approximately £720m, an all-time high.

Chief executive at BRI, Dan Boardman-Weston, said: “I have had the pleasure of getting to know Colin well over the past few months. I have great admiration for the value and service that he’s provided to his clients over the years.

“This acquisition underlines our commitment to offering a client-first alternative to private equity-driven consolidation. I want to thank Colin for everything he has done to bring FutureFocus Advisory to this point and wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.”
