Gatehouse Bank launches online DiP facility

Gatehouse Bank has introduced an online decision in principle (DiP) facility.

The Shariah-compliant ethical bank revealed the facility will allow qualifying customers to obtain a DiP in around 10 minutes.

Gatehouse offers a range of ethical savings products as well as finance for UK residential and commercial real estate.

Open to residents in the UK, Gatehouse said it has developed its new facility to improve and streamline the customer journey, enabling UK home purchase plan and buy-to-let customers to independently gain a DiP, which will be available at any time convenient to them.

Customers are then prompted to upload all supporting documentation through a secure platform and will also receive immediate access to documents that can be provided to estate agents when viewing and offering on properties.

Head of direct home finance at Gatehouse Bank, Gemma Donnelly, commented: “We pride ourselves on our customer-first approach and have designed our online DiP facility with the customer journey at the front of our minds.

“Initially piloted in December, we have been delighted by the positive feedback our virtual DiP tool has received so far and look forward to continue providing our customers with the most efficient and accessible support to help them purchase a property.”
