Gatehouse joins Knowledge Bank database

Gatehouse Bank has announced it is joining the platform of criteria search specialist, Knowledge Bank.

By joining the database, brokers will be able to easily compare Gatehouse’s criteria to hundreds of other providers.

Knowledge Bank’s mortgage criteria database allows brokers to quickly establish which products will be most suitable for customers, and with more than 200 lenders it is the largest database of its kind in the UK.

Gatehouse’s range, which offers Shariah-compliant mortgage alternatives in the form of buy-to-let (BTL) purchase plans and home purchase plans, is open to UK Residents, UK expats and international residents with initial rental rates fixed over two and five-year terms.

The Bank said it uses human underwriting to assess applications on a case-by-case basis and suggested this has improved the accessibility of its products for customers with non-standard financial circumstances.

Gatehouse director of home finance distribution, Roger Evans, commented: “Gatehouse is going to be able to reach thousands more brokers through Knowledge Bank and further raise awareness of our competitive and flexible BTLand home finance plans.

“Since launching our home finance offering in 2018, we have seen significant demand for our services with customers attracted to our human underwriting approach.”

Knowledge Bank CEO and founder, Nicola Firth, added: “Shariah-compliant mortgage alternatives have never been more popular, and brokers are increasingly interested to see how products in this space stack up against traditional home finance. The home purchase plan and BTL ranges from Gatehouse are a welcome addition to the database.”
