News in brief - 10 October 2024

Foundation Home Loans has promoted Nathan Goodridge to the role of head of sales. He joined the firm in February 2022 as a national sales manager, bringing over a decade’s worth of financial services experience, having worked with lenders including OMS Group, Lloyds Banking Group, Metro Bank and NatWest. As part of the role, Goodridge will report to Foundation’s director of sales, Grant Hendry. Despite Goodridge’s appointment, Keith Jones will remain in his role as national sales manager, continuing to focus on the firm’s residential proposition, supporting the sales team while maintaining his responsibility for managing the Midlands region.

more2life has reduced the early repayment charges (ERCs) on its maxi range of lifetime mortgages. The ERC term on the maxi plan has been lowered 10 years from seven and the range is available to clients aged between 55 and 89 years old. The LTVs offered at between 18.5% and 49.5%, with loans available from £15,000 to £2m. Options are available as a full one-one lump sum, or a smaller lump sum and drawdown available, from as little as £500. The maxi plan also offers downsizing protection after five years, where if the client wishes to downsize to a property outside of more2life’s criteria, they can repay the loan in full without incurring ERCs.

Paragon Bank has promoted four key members of its mortgages sale team to newly created roles, in order to strengthen relationships with intermediary partners. Jason Wilde, who has been with Paragon since 2007, has been promoted to head of sales, having previously served as national sales manager. Former national account manager, Sally Wright, has been appointed to a head of distribution role, while Andy Ruskin and Sam Debenham have been promoted to respective regional BDM roles. Rudkin will cover the south of England and Debenham will support BDM colleagues in the north.
