Landbay has cut rates by up to 0.35% across its premier, core and specialist buy-to-let (BTL) ranges, with rates now starting from 3.44%.

In addition, the BTL lender has launched eight new specialist products, expanding its 65% LTV offering within the small HMO and MUFB ranges, while expanding its Tier 2 criteria to provide greater flexibility for landlords and minor credit blips.

Premier is a range of standard and HMO products for borrowers with up to 15 mortgaged properties, available to both individual and limited company landlords. The core range is available for landlords with portfolios of any size and includes AVM options, while its specialist products cover holiday lets, HMOs, MUFBs and trading companies.

Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has announced that its director of home moving strategy, Ben Thompson, will leave the business at the end of the year.

He has worked at the mortgage intermediary for eight years, including previously serving as deputy CEO. Most recently, he has been responsible for developing the group’s home moving proposition and extending its range of services available to customers.

MAB said it will continue to build on the strategic initiatives Thompson has led, with a focus on maximising MAB’s mortgage opportunity and further broadening and strengthening its customer proposition.

Skipton Building Society has launched a new five-year fixed rate branch cash ISA and five-year fixed rate branch bond, both offering a rate of 4.76%.

The products are designed for savers seeking long-term certainty and a guaranteed return on their money, with balances from £1 up to £1m.

A saver depositing £20,000 and leaving it for the full five-year term would see their savings grow to an estimated £25,235.

AJ Bell has announced the launch of a new brand identity to be introduced across the firm’s dual-channel platform and AJ Bell Investments in a phased approach from September.

The modernised brand features a new logo incorporating a bell graphic, as well as a new font and colour palette.

The firm said the new brand identity will reinforce its ‘feel good investing’ campaign and will appear across its ongoing advertising, as well as being showcased across the AJ Bell Great Run series 2026, starting with the Great North Run on 13 September.
