Recognise Bank has appointed ex-Starling Bank chief operating officer, Julian Sawyer, as a non-executive director.

He brings a wealth of banking and fintech experience to the bank’s board, following previous CEO roles at Zodia Custody and Bitstamp.

The appointment comes after Recognise Bank announced that it has grown its loan book to over £500m, whilst recently exceeding £600m in deposits.

Uinsure has added Lloyds Bank General Insurance (LBGI) to its multi-insurer panel, adding new underwriting capacity and strengthening the choice available to advisers.

The addition is exclusive to Uinsure within the mortgage intermediary market, meaning advisers can access LBGI’s home insurance through no other intermediary route.

The new capacity is available across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, giving advisers more confidence that they can find the right cover for more of their clients through the Uinsure platform.

HLPartnership (HLP) has announced a proposed leadership transition following a period of growth and transformation for the business.

Chris Tanner has confirmed his intention to step back from day-to-day executive leadership. The firm has grown to support nearly 600 member firms and 1,200 advisers, with lending volumes nearing £14bn.

CEO at BetterHome Group, Rudi Botha, is expected to take on leadership of HLP, subject to FCA approval. The proposed transition follows BetterHome Group’s strategic investment in HLP in 2024 and marks the next stage in the development of the network.
