Newcastle for Intermediaries has relaunched its joint mortgage sole proprietor (JMSP) proposition.

The refreshed range has been developed to address challenges faced by today’s borrowers, including affordability and the difficulty of saving larger deposits, particularly among first-time buyers.

Key enhancements to the JMSP proposition include expanded eligibility, with support no longer limited to close family members, up to 95% LTV, enhanced affordability through a dedicated affordability boost option and flexible underwriting to support a wider range of customer situations.

JammJar has appointed Kieran Pace as customer success manager to enhance its support to mortgage broker firms.

He joins the AI-powered platform with more than nine years’ experience in the mortgage technology sector, having held a number of roles at 360 Lifecycle.

In the newly created role, Pace will lead customer success, working with firms as they implement the JammJar AI-powered operating system, while acting as a link between customers and the product development team.

Interbay has launched a new broker guide, designed to help intermediaries build more confidence in commercial and semi-commercial lending and identify opportunities within their existing client base.

The guide, Diversify the InterBay Way, provides an introduction to commercial and semi-commercial lending, covering everything from industry terminology and valuation approaches to underwriting consideration, owner-occupier lending and the end-to-end process of placing a commercial case with InterBay.

The guide has been developed to support brokers who may be seeing increasing client interest in commercial property but have limited experience in the sector.

United Trust Bank has announced a new package of buy-to-let (BTL) criteria enhancements designed to provide greater flexibility for landlords.

The latest changes aim to remove unnecessary barriers, broaden eligibility and simplify a number of key lending requirements, helping brokers submit cases with greater confidence while supporting a wider range of landlord circumstances.

As a result, its maximum mortgage term has been increased to 30 years and no previous landlord experience is required for HMOs of up to six beds or MUBs up to four units. Furthermore, maximum exposure has increased to 10 BTL loans or £3m per applicant and income evidence, background portfolio information and deposit verification is only requested where appropriate.
