Mortgage and protection broker, Access Financial Services, has announced that it has reached the milestone of 200 advisers following a year of growth. CEO, Karl Wilkinson, announced the that the firm’s number of self-employed mortgage and protection advisers at the firm grew quickly from 100 in January 2022 to over 165 in the summer. Access FS has also doubled the number of its head office staff, brought in administrative support for its advisers, and recently announced it is opening a training manager position to train and improve CeMAP 1,2, and 3 skillsets.

Buy-to-let (BTL) specialist lender, Fleet Mortgages, has announced price cuts on all its seven-year fixed-rate products. Priced in line with recent swap rate movements, Fleet has cut prices on its seven-year products by 44 basis points. The lender’s seven-year fix for both standard and limited company borrowers is now available at 4.99%, while its seven-year fix for HMO and multi-unit block borrowers is available at 5.09%. The product fee is 3% with a minimum of £750, and Fleet confirmed the revert rate is the Bank of England’s base rate plus 3%.

Just Wealth has announced it exceeded its 2022 referral target from sister firm, Just Mortgages. The target of 1,000 client referrals for wealth advice was exceed by 20% as the mortgage broker referred over 1200 cases to the Just Wealth division, helping clients in a range of product areas including pensions and investment advice, inheritance tax, life assurance and other protection products.

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has provided a house builder with a £12.9m facility to complete a substantial housing development. The facility will fund the development of 27 apartments and 42 new build houses on a site in Derbyshire. HTB said that the deal, which completed in November, provided an overall facility for 65% loan-to-gross development value and funding for 100% of the borrower’s construction costs, professional fees and interest roll-up.
