Atom bank has launched a ‘natural capital’ lending proposition, which is set to support development of new housing and infrastructure across the UK.
The launch follows a successful initial rollout, where the bank provided secured funding for the creation of three biodiversity net gain (BNG) habitat banks. Across the three sites, 480 BNG units were created and registered with Natural England, which is enough to deliver the BNG required for around 2,410 new homes.
Natural capital loans are available for the purchase or refinance of land in England with the intention of creating BNG units, and are available to LLPs or limited companies only. Loans are available between £100,000 and £2m, up to a maximum of 65% LTV.
Sesame Bankhall Group (SBG) has accelerated its development of its adviser and principal platform, OneView, with a partnership with JammJar.
SBG said that work is underway to integrate the mortgage and protection technology specialist’s AI and data capability into the platform, with the aim of supporting faster analysis of mortgage and protection cases and helping advisers identify missing information or potential issues earlier in the process.
OneView gives principals a single place to access the information they need to understand activity across their firm, identify where cases may need attention and support decisions about growth.
Precise has launched a new guide to bridging finance for intermediaries, designed to help brokers identify when bridging finance could provide a suitable solution for clients facing time-sensitive property transactions.
‘Bridge it. Everything you need to know about bridging finance’ has been created to help brokers understand the role short-term finance can play in a range of lending scenarios.
The launch comes as brokers continue to operate in a more selective lending environment, with many clients requiring funding solutions that fall outside mainstream lending criteria. Recent data from the BLDA suggests the market entered a more measured phase in Q1, with applications falling from £11.7bn to £9.9bn and completions dropping from £2.5bn to £1.8bn month-on-month.
