One Mortgage System forms alliance with Sanctions Search

One Mortgage System (OMS) has announced it is to form a strategic alliance with anti-money laundering firm, Sanctions Search.

The move will provide OMS users with the ability to collate client information and ensure effective money laundering controls are in place.

Users will also have access to Sanctions Search’s new tool, ValidID, which verifies a client’s identity, provides results on any bankruptcies or insolvencies, checks the voters roll and validates passports and driving licences. The tool also undertakes several additional background checks to highlight any potential issues involving individual clients.

The OMS CRM system covers product areas such as residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, commercial plus general insurance and protection. It has already integrated with six platforms – Iress, Twenty7Tec, iPipeline, Submissions Brain, SmartrFit and Knowledge Bank – to provide users with product sourcing, protection sourcing and criteria searching.

“Information remains king for advisers and being able to collate accurate client information via a simple and secure online tool can help ensure that client’s needs are managed in a faster, more effective manner,” commented OMS managing director, Neal Jannels.

“Having access to this kind of information at the start of the application process really can help advisers to overcome numerous obstacles and delays further down the line, especially when it comes to more complex cases which are becoming all the more common in the current lending environment.

“Our integration with Sanctions Search will help our users to evidence all the relevant checks to ensure responsible client management processes are firmly in place and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership.”
