Optimus partners with Uinsure

Optimus has announced a new partnership with Uinsure in a move that will see the integration of home insurance into the Optimus platform.

The collaboration will enable advisers to instruct both conveyancing and an insurance referral in a single journey at the relevant stage of a mortgage application.

Optimus is a panel management business that serves various introducers across the UK, including lenders, mortgage brokers and estate agents.

The firm added that for advisers’ clients, this latest integration means that insurance can be offered at a key moment in the home buying journey, as the legal process commences.

“Both insurance and conveyancing are necessities of any mortgage but both elements have often been overlooked and not consistently offered by mortgage firms,” said Uinsure chief commercial officer, Martin Schultheiss.

The integration with Optimus means that insurance can be referred at the same time as instructing a solicitor, and the progress of each referral can also be tracked online.

“We’re very much looking forward to launching the partnership as we continue to innovate in order to meet our long-term mission of removing the complexity of insurance for advisers and their clients.”

Optimus managing director, Alan Young, added: “Uinsure is a quality partner for Optimus and by working together it offers a transformative, strong and dependable digital journey for advisers.

“Advisers can instruct conveyancing and immediately refer to Uinsure, without having to deviate or seek quotes from other providers or platforms. It essentially brings insurance and conveyancing into one place, stripping out the administration and time spent managing separate systems.”
