Specialist Hub acquires packager status for Tandem Bank’s first charge products

Specialist Hub has announced that it now has packager status at Tandem Bank for regulated first charge mortgages.

The firm’s lending portfolio includes commercial and semi-commercial mortgages, regulated and unregulated bridging, specialist buy-to-let, and residential first and second charge mortgages.

Specialist Hub has almost 40 years of experience in the specialist finance market, providing products for mortgage brokers, independent financial advisers (IFAs), and other industry professionals.

Managing director at Specialist Hub, Tony Sutton, commented: “We are thrilled to have been granted packager status at Tandem for regulated first charge mortgages, and look forward to a productive and rewarding relationship working together with them. Tandem has some great USP’s and their products certainly stand out in the market.”

Launched in 2014, Tandem is one of the UK’s original digital challenger banks and provides specialist mortgage and savings products to help customers who do not meet the high street approach of a minimum credit score or automated process.

Recently appointed director of mortgage sales and distribution at Tandem, Roger Morris, said: “We are delighted to become a lender partner of Specialist Hub. It seems that Tony Sutton has been around for more years than I can remember. He has become one of the most reliable fixtures of our industry and is someone I have always highly respected.

“His business has always had a huge focus on knowledge and education and a desire to up-skill the broker community which is a passion we share at Tandem. I am looking forward to working with Specialist Hub to bring the best of specialist lending to the broker market.”
