Atom bank has hit another record-breaking month for near prime activity in February. Over the course of the month, the app-only bank received the largest value of near prime applications since the lender entered the near prime sector. Year-on-year, the value of near prime applications increased 70% in February, while the value of applications jumped by 62% in the same period.

Nottingham Building Society has launched two new residential cashback products to help homebuyers, especially first-time buyers, get up to £5,000 in cashback. The new five-year fixed products have been launched as a direct results of the impending stamp duty changes taking effect next month. The new products, which are available for home purchases valued at £250,000 or more, start at 5.28% at 75% LTV with £2,500 cashback, while the 90% LTV product starts at 6.15% with £5,000 cashback.

Bridge Help has appointed Lisa Griffiths as its new business development manager. Her appointment means that the commercial bridging finance provider continues to boast an all-women business development team, led by Katie Snodden. Griffiths brings a wealth of experience to the role, including a two-decade long career in law before moving into ground-up property development and then commercial finance brokering. She will work from Bridge Help’s head office in Chesterfield.
