News in brief - 18 December 2023

Pepper Money has promoted Atlyn Forde to the role of head of inclusion and engagement. Forde joined Pepper Money in 2018 as senior data insights manager, and went on to take on the role of diversity, equity and inclusion committee chair, going on to win industry awards including equity, diversity and inclusion best leadership category at the Women’s Recognition Awards. In her new role, Forde will continue to work on Pepper Money’s diversity, equity and inclusion focus, and will also take the lead on increasing colleague engagement and collaboration.

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network and DA Club have announced a range of ongoing and new events that will be accessible to all members firms through 2024. Taking place in person at venues across the country and also via online webinars, the events cover a range of topics designed to provide member firms with information on how to make the most of the current sales opportunities. The first set of events will start in the second week of January and will run throughout 2024. These events include regional sales roadshows, later life lending roadshow and monthly sales-focused webinars.

Black & White Bridging has become the latest member to join the Association of Short-Term Lenders (ASTL). Black & White Bridging was established in Bath in 2013 and provides unregulated bridging finance for a variety of purposes including property acquisition, auctions, refurbishment, semi-commercial, development finance and development exits. The ASTL represents the interests of lenders within the short-term mortgage lending sector, working with member firms to ensure the sector is conducting its business to the highest standards.
