Saffron for Intermediaries has announced rate reductions across its owner-occupied range, in order to give borrowers the best chance of finding a mortgage that suits their needs. The range, which includes free valuations, now includes a two-year owner-occupied product which now starts at 4.77%, while the five-year product begins at 4.37%, available at up to 85% LTV. Furthermore, the two- and five-year fixed owner-occupied products at up to 80% LTV now start at 4.67% and 4.17% respectively. All products come with a £999 arrangement fee.

Norton Home Loans has introduced updates to its lending criteria, including an increased maximum LTV ratio and a higher maximum loan size. Borrowers can now benefit from a maximum LTV of 85% across the lender’s optimal range, providing more opportunities for customers with minor or temporary blips on their credit record in the last 12 months, as well as historical CCJs, defaults, and other credit impairments. Additionally, the maximum loan size has been increased to £350,000, expanding the potential for larger borrowing amounts. Other key lending criteria updates include changes for borrowers with temporary residency status who are eligible, provided they meet the minimum credit score of 300 and can demonstrate progress towards becoming a permanent resident or the withdrawal of their visa/temporary rights to reside.

The buy-to-let (BTL) brand of Foundation Home Loans has made rate cuts to its special and limited edition BTL products. Rates on the lender’s specials range now include a 0.25% cut to its F1 special portfolio landlord-only rates by 0.25%, now available from 4.59% with a 6% fee, while its F1 special fee-assisted portfolio landlord only product now starts from 4.84% with a 5% fee. Furthermore, the lender’s F1 special two-year fixed rate has been reduced by 0.35%, and are now available from 4.24% with a 4% fee and 4.74% with a 3% fee. Foundation’s F2 HMO special two- and five-year fixed rates have been reduced by 0.35% and 0.25% respectively, and are now available from 4.79% and 5.29% with a 3% fee.
