Dudley Building Society has appointed Mike Hudson as a non-executive director. He brings over 40 years of experience in financial services to the role, having spent the last 15 years as a chief risk officer, most recently at Cambridge and Counties Bank. Hudson also has a deep understanding and experience in risk management and has been appointed a chair of the risk committee.

Metro Bank has expanded its criteria for joint borrower, sole proprietor (JBSP) mortgages to include non-relatives as well as direct family members. This change widens the family group that can now support people on the property ladder, such as godparents and close family friends. For residential purchases, joint borrowers are now also permitted to reside in the property and can also now gift a deposit. The lender’s JBSP mortgage already allows up to 95% LTV for purchases with up to four named applicants on the mortgage.

Molo Finance has appointed Matthew Kimber as its new chief executive officer. He joined Molo in November 2023 as chief operating officer (COO), bringing over 20 years’ experience in banking and finance to the role. Kimber has also held roles at CHL Mortgages for Intermediaries, including managing director, where he led the business back to lending in 2021, and as COO. He has also held the position of COO at Landmark Mortgages, as well as several key positions at Castle Trust.
