Tuscan Capital has appointed Hannah Melhuish as its new marketing manager. She joins the lender with immediate effect and will be responsible for Tuscan’s strategic output, running all campaigns across traditional and social media, as well as focusing on brand development. Melhuish brings over six years’ marketing experience in the financial technology and public sectors, joining Tuscan from Salary Finance, where she was employee communications manager, managing a diverse client portfolio across different sectors. Prior to this, Melhuish worked as communications officer at Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.

Jason Whiteley has been appointed as regional sales manager at HLPartnership. As part of the role, he will focus on network growth through strategic recruitment and sales initiatives, working closely with member firms to assist them in expanding their market share and enhancing their operational strategies. Whiteley brings 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, and he will bring expertise and leadership to the role. He joins from Just Mortgages’ self employed division, where he served as area director for over five years. Prior to joining Just Mortgages from Reeds Rains, where he was consistently recognised as one of the company’s most successful brokers, before transitioning into a management role.

Halifax has launched a new first-time buyer product range, which offers £500 cashback on standard mortgages and £1,000 cashback on its green home product range. On its standard product range with a £999 fee, two-year fixed rates start from 4.60% at 60% LTV, 4.65% at 75% LTV, 4.93% at 80% and 85% LTV, 5.42% at 90% LTV and 5.47% at 95% LTV. For five-year fixed with £500 cashback, rates start at 4.31% at 60% LTV%, 4.36% at 75% LTV, 4.51% at 80% and 85% LTV, 4.88% at 90% LTV and 5.10% at 95% LTV. The lender has also launched two 10-year fixed rates at 4.93% at 60% and 75% LTV.
