Broadstone has appointed Andrew Knight-Stephens as a senior member of its investment consulting team in London, as part of the consulting and actuarial division. He most recently held an investment specialist position at British Airways Pensions. Prior to this, Knight-Stevens was an investment consultant at Willis Towers Watson, after spending time at Mercer and EY. Broadstone is an adviser to over 400 trustee boards, including pension schemes and sponsors, and a growing number of charities, insurers and private clients.

LHV Bank has appointed a new director of SME lending and has expanded the team with new relationship managers and underwriters. Conor McDermott has joined as the new director and will also sit on the bank’s executive committee. Most recently, he served as head of lending at Monument, where he built a significant professional network in the property and healthcare sectors. LHV has also appointed Savvas Nicola and Edwin Yamoah as relationship mangers.

The Mortgage Works has reduced rates on selected switcher mortgage products by up to 0.20%, with rates starting from 3.84%. As part of the reductions, the new buy-to-let switcher rates include two-year fixed rate at 3.99% with a £3,995 fee. The three- and five-year fixed rates are available at 4.39% and 4.49% respectively, with the three-year fix coming with a £1,495 fee. All these products are available at 65% LTV.
