News in brief - 4 April 2024

Paragon Bank has announced a restructuring of its sales team, with members commencing new roles with immediate effect. Regional sales manager at the specialist buy-to-let lender, Holly Morrison, who previously managed Paragon’s cases in Scotland, steps into a national account manager role. This will see Morrison work closely with national account manager, Sally Wright, to strengthen relationships with mortgage networks and clubs at a national level. Morrison’s team members, Andy Rudkin and Sam Debenham, who cover the South West and East of England respectively, are taking on senior business development roles.

Broadstone has appointed Daniel Broad to the role of senior investment consultant in the firm’s consulting and actuarial division. Prior to joining Broadstone, Broad worked as a director at Isio, where he prepared and delivered research-led independent investment advice to institutional investors, including defined benefit pension scheme trustees and sponsors. In his new role, he will leverage his expertise to lead on strategic research and deliver and improve investment solutions to clients. Broad will also be responsible for increasing the team’s presence in Manchester and the North of England.

Ian Miller-Hawes has rejoined Aspen Bridging as sales director, with Mike Allen joining the firm as business development manager. The firm has also made promotion across its risk, underwriting and credit teams, with two further appointments set to be announced in the coming weeks. The news comes as Aspen has unveiled its new logo and a refreshed website, as looks to lay the foundations for growth in the company. Last month, the firm reached the £500m lending landmark from when it was founded in 2017 and is now targeting to hit £1bn in the next few years.
