Aviva Investors launches MPS solution with SimplyBiz

Aviva Investors has announced the launch of its first ever model portfolio service (MPS) solution which it has designed in partnership with SimplyBiz.

The launch of the range, titled the Aviva Retirement Portfolios, follows the announcement in November last year of a distribution partnership between SimplyBiz’s parent company, Fintel, and Aviva Investors.

The Aviva Retirement Portfolios will form part of SimplyBiz’s range of risk-controlled solutions, and is designed to align with the benchmarked risk levels of the strategic asset allocation dictated and reviewed by the SimplyBiz Investment Committee.

Aviva said the range has been created to address the ‘decumulation’ market. The MPS integrates seamlessly with SimplyBiz’s investment end-to-end advice solutions, Centra, and is risk-profiled to Defaqto’s decumulation tool.

The MPS will be managed by Aviva Investors’ multi-asset team, and the proposition will be available exclusively on the Aviva Platform.

SimplyBiz investment services director, Davinia Rogers, commented: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Aviva Investors for the launch and creation of its first ever MPS. Collaboration on this brand-new product forms part of the high-quality programme of support we’re delivering to our member firms following the agreement of our managed distribution partnership, including joint educational initiatives around ESG, intergenerational advice and platforms.

“Aviva Investors, and the wider Aviva group, is trusted by intermediaries and consumers and, like SimplyBiz, has a proud heritage and track-record. One in four people in the UK have an Aviva pension, and it has been running multi asset portfolios for 40 years, with £69bn under management in multi and macro assets.

“I’m confident that our members will welcome a new and innovative product from these market-leading brands, designed to strengthen the breadth of solutions available and help them continue to deliver the best possible outcomes for their clients.”

Head of adviser sales at Aviva Investors, James Tothill, added: “We are delighted to offer through SimplyBiz, and exclusively on the Aviva Platform, our first MPS  investment solution that caters for  the decumulation market.

“We have worked closely with the team at SimplyBiz to develop and launch the Aviva Retirement Portfolios as part of its risk-controlled range of solutions and are looking forward to supporting their membership and promoting this new MPS, as well as the rest of our Multi-Asset capabilities through our joint Managed Distribution Service Agreement with Fintel.”
