Canada Life has partnered with not-for-profit organisation, ELSA Next Generation, which provides targeted educational programmes to young people.
The move aims to address gaps in financial capability for young people in Hertfordshire and help boost career-readiness for those from less-advantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
Canada Life will fund the development and delivery of interactive workshops informed by survey feedback from local young people and teachers to ensure the content is relevant and relatable.
The workshops aim to help young people navigate topical, real-world financial scenarios such as understanding payslips and planning pensions, equipping them with essential skills that help lay a foundation for long-term financial security. Canada Life staff will also provide career talks, work experience, and mentoring.
