FLA appoints Shire Leasing CFO to board

The Finance & Leasing Association (FLA) has announced the appointment of Helen Lumb to its board.

Lumb is currently chief finance officer at Shire Leasing.

FLA figures for 2021 show that its members provided £132bn of new finance to UK businesses, households and the public sector. Of this total, £101bn was provided in the form of consumer credit.

Commenting on her appointment, Lumb said: “I am looking forward to joining the FLA board and making a contribution towards representing our sector’s interests, in particular the opportunities and challenges that our asset finance industry is currently facing.”

Director general of the FLA, Stephen Haddrill, added: “I am very pleased indeed that Helen has joined the Board. Her expertise and sector perspectives will be much valued as the industry works together to meet the needs of customers facing uncertain economic conditions.

“I would also like to thank Bill Dost and Carol Roberts, both of whom recently stepped down from the board having served terms of nine and seven years respectively. Their insights and counsel have been much appreciated.”
