Mortgage Business Expo announces London programme

The upcoming mortgage industry’s intermediary event, Mortgage Business Expo (MBE), has revealed a seminar programme for its London show.

MBE South will take place at the Business Design Centre on 10 October and feature the Financial Intermediary & Broker Association’s (FIBA) specialist property finance club seminars.

Keynote speaker Rob Elder, agent for Greater London at the Bank of England (BoE), will launch the event with an economic outlook for the housing and mortgage sector.

The day will then feature a seminar programme, with several sessions to be chaired by director of intermediary relationships at Pepper Money, Rob Barnard.

Speakers at the event include head of sales, mortgage intermediaries at HSBC UK, Richard Beardshaw, chair of the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA), Karen McGrath, and FIBA chairman and of SimplyBiz Mortgages CEO, Martin Reynolds.

Reynolds commented: “The specialist property, buy-to-let and residential mortgage markets have seen many challenges over the last few years which the intermediary sector has dealt with fantastically. The sessions that have been arranged showcase what the current opportunities are and will provide great discussion points for all involved.”

Event director for MBE, Mike Mikunda, added: “We are delighted that Rob Elder from the BoE has agreed to speak, especially at such an interesting time in the base rate cycle.”

Registration to the event remains open and visitors have been urged to register in advance to secure a spot.
