News in brief - 10 November 2025

SmartSearch has appointed Seyfi Günay as its new chief revenue officer. He has joined the digital compliance and anti-money laundering solutions provider as it looks to accelerate its growth and innovation strategy following recent investment from Triple Private Equity and its acquisition of identity verification specialist, Credas. Günay brings over two decades of sales leadership experience to the role, having worked at London Stock Exchange Group, Moody’s Analytics and S&P Global Market Intelligence. Throughout his career, he has led high-performing teams, driven double-digit revenue growth and built go-to-market strategies for SaaS and fintech businesses.

Franklin Templeton has made two appointments to its UK wholesale team. Deji Ijaiya-Harvey has joined the firm as a business development manager (BMD), and will focus on supporting clients across the wholesale channel in London and surrounding areas. He brings over a decade of assets management experience, and joins Franklin Templeton from Mirabaud Asset Management. In addition, Noah Ahwe has been promoted to BDM, with a focus on supporting clients outside of London, in the South West, Midlands and the North. He joined the firm in 2023 and has played a role in supporting wholesale clients.

Rob Lankey has been appointed as director of credit at the specialist lender, Afin Bank. He has been in the industry for over 35 years, having worked in roles at Norwich and Peterborough Building Society, Shawbrook Bank and GB Bank. Lankey was also a founder and start-up team member at Aldermore, and has served as chief executive officer at the NACFB. In his new role, he will oversee the day-to-day management of mortgage application decisions, as well as the credit risk element of product development.
