News in brief - 10 October 2025

Black & White Bridging has expanded its back-office operations by appointing three new team members. Jenny Murray has joined the specialist lender as data and finances systems lead, joining the firm on her return to the UK after living and working in New Zealand for companies including Lightforce Solar and Daifuku Oceania. Niamh Hunter and Helena Carr have been appointed as associate lending manager and executive assistant respectively. In her new role, Hunter will be responsible for processing loan applications and handling client communication and documentation. She joins the bridging lender from Together. Carr has significant experience in the bridging finance space, having previously held executive support roles at Lowry Capital and Mint Property Finance. She will provide support to the company’s senior leadership team.

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Mathura Paramjorthy as head of portfolio management in its specialist mortgages and bridging division. She joins the firm after serving as chief operating officer at Bridge Invest and previously holding the same role at TAB. Paramjorthy began her career as a partner at Philip Ross Solicitors, specialising in residential property, before moving into senior operational roles. In her new role, she will lead HTB’s portfolio management team, which is responsible for overseeing facilities once they are complete, ensuring they continue to perform as structured.

Robin Pearson has returned to The Right Mortgage & Protection Network (TRM) as its head of risk. In this role, he will oversee TRM’s risk management framework and compliance strategy, with responsibilities covering complaints handling, acting as data controller for the business, managing data protection and GDPR compliance, and maintaining the compliance manual. He returns to the firm having previously worked as compliance manager and business development manager between 2017 and 2023. During that time, he trained and mentored 24 non-CAS advisers, implemented new management information frameworks, and acted as the network’s vulnerable customer champion. Pearson rejoins the network after serving as compliance manager at Mortgage Connect (NI), and has previously held positions at LSL Property Services, Accenture Operations, UKAR, FOS, KPMG and Deloitte.
