Word On The Street has appointed Ben Hartley as its new specialist mortgage broker. It comes as the specialist property finance brokerage is set to open its doors to property finance introducers who would like to grow, develop and increase revenue potential within unregulated lending. Hartley met the firm’s founding partner, Michael Stret, at real estate lender, Together, where Hartley held a direct sales role across buy-to-let, bridging, commercial and development finance. He has also worked at Lowry Capital and Stretton Capital.

Active Chartered Financial Planners has made two new senior appointments as it continues to expand and strength its team. Craig Honeyman has been appointed as chartered financial planner, bringing more than two decades of experience to the role across pension and retirement planning, investment planning and home finance. He holds the advanced diploma in financial planning and achieved chartered status with the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2022. Lauren Lee joins the firm as a chartered paraplanner, having worked in financial services since 2011. She has developed an expertise in compliance and operational support roles, and became a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2022.

Principality Intermediaries has appointed Melissa Burke as business development manager (BDM) for London and the South East. The appointment comes after the firm recently appointed BDMs in the Midlands and the East of England. Principality said that she joins the firm with vast experience in the sector, having worked in several mortgage roles across the region. As part of the role, she will cover areas including London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Kent, West and East Sussex and Middlesex.
