Scottish Building Society appointed to Paradigm’s lender panel

Paradigm Mortgage Services has announced the appointment of Scottish Building Society to its lender panel.

Member firms at Paradigm will now have access to the society’s range of residential, entrepreneur, guarantor, and professional mortgages, available for those looking to either purchase or remortgage.

The society also offers retirement interest-only (RIO) mortgages, products for self-build and custom-build, as well as holiday let products.

Applications can be submitted by Scottish Building Society’s online application portal, SBS Online, with all cases allocated to an individual underwriter. This also provides access to an affordability calculator as well as support via the society’s four business development managers (BDMs).

Paradigm director of mortgages, Richard Howes, commented: “The Scottish mortgage and protection market is an increasingly important one for Paradigm and we are therefore pleased to be able to announce the addition of Scottish Building Society to our panel, in response to member feedback.

“It is active in a wide range of product and sector areas and its flexible approach to underwriting means it can look at individual circumstances rather than operating a tick-box approach. We believe there is much to interest advisers and their clients in the product range and proposition, and Paradigm will continue to work closely with our member firms in Scotland to add value to their businesses across a wide range of areas as well as identify new opportunities.”

Head of intermediaries at Scottish Building Society, Stephen Brown, added: “The Scottish Building Society is delighted to partner with Paradigm Mortgage Services. We are known for our personal approach to service and flexible underwriting and look forward to helping members of Paradigm over the coming weeks and months. We truly value the strong connections we have with our intermediary partners.”
