Sustainable funds now available for Royal London pension customers

Royal London pension customers can now access a range of sustainable funds managed by Royal London Asset Management at no extra cost through their workplace and individual pension plans.

Managed by Royal London Asset Management, there are five funds offering a choice of options across the risk-return spectrum, from 100% fixed income to 100% equities, allowing customers to invest their pension in these funds individually or as part of a portfolio.

The funds have £1.7bn in assets under management, and will be managed by Royal London Asset Management’s sustainable team who have over 25 years’ experience in running sustainable funds. Over the past five years, the funds have delivered annualised returns of between 4% and 12%.

Royal London head of investment solutions Lorna Blyth said: “The sustainable team take an active role in ensuring we invest in companies that contribute positively to our society and environment. To help influence positive change they vote at annual meetings, engage with management and advocate strong corporate governance.

“We’re proud we’re making a bigger impact in terms of helping our customers achieve their investment goals, whilst making the world a better place.”
