News in brief - 14 April 2026

Steve Griffiths has been appointed as commercial director at Keystone Property Finance, as the lender continues to invest in its growth and enhance its proposition for brokers and their clients. He brings more than 30 years of financial services experience, with expertise across the specialist mortgage sector. Griffiths joins Keystone from Shawbrook Bank, where he was the commercial director for retail mortgage brands including The Mortgage Lender and Bluestone. He will work closely with chief executive officer David Whittaker and managing director Elise Coole to oversee both sales and product marketing functions.

Glenhawk has appointed Ryan Brewer as business development manager (BDM) for the North West, North East and Scotland. Based in Manchester, Brewer has over five years of bridging finance experience with lenders such as Together and Lakeshield. As BDM, he will be responsible for forging new relationships with brokers in his area, as well as strengthening existing relationships with those already familiar with the short-term bridging finance firm’s proposition.

Darius Shekarrizi has joined Pluto Finance as a lending director. He brings more than a decade of specialist property finance experience to the role, where he will be responsible for bridging loans. Shekarrizi has previously held senior roles across the lending market, including positions at Octopus Property, Oblix Capital and most recently, Lendhub. At Pluto Finance, he will work with clients and intermediaries to help contribute to the firm’s wider growth strategy, following the recent appointments of lending directors, Hugo Trower and Carl Bowcher.
