Gallagher has appointed Alistair Dornan as chief revenue officer (CRO) for its benefits and HR consulting division in the UK. In his new role, Dornan will oversee all revenue generation processes in the division, whilst managing and ensuring alignment between all teams to maximise effectiveness, drive profitability and deliver solutions to successfully help organisations attract, retain and engage the talent they need to meet their business goals. He has previously worked as director of the people experience consulting practice at Gallagher and has vast experience of working on several of the UK, Europe and North America’s most complex healthcare, benefits and performance projects.

Just Wealth has enhanced its internal training for both new and existing wealth advisers. Developed in-house by the financial arm of Just Mortgages and its learning and development team, the new and improved training breaks down the advice journey to focus on the fundamentals of building strong client relationships. The new framework covers key areas such as interview training, techniques and question styles to enable advisers to gather the right information and understand the client’s circumstances and goals, helping to deliver the most suitable recommendations. Alongside new recruits, the aim is for all Just Wealth advisers to take part in the day-and-a-half training.

Aegon UK has appointed Christina McComb OBE as its new non-executive director and chair of the board of directors. She replaces the previous chair, Mike Rogers, who has stepped down after six years in the role. McComb joins the board with experience in leadership roles across private, public and non-for-profit organisations, currently serving as non-executive director for Seraphim Space Investment Trust plc, Big Society Capital and Nesta. She has also served as chair of One Family, a leading UK financial mutual with over two million customers and £8bn assets under management, including more than one million young people’s child trust funds, and in 2018, was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s birthday honours for services to UK industry.
