Just Mortgages has appointed Joe Cavalier as divisional sales director. He brings more than 17 years of experience across both estate agency and financial services, and will oversee a team of 11 brokers across nine branches. Cavalier’s career started in 2008 as a valuations and branch manager at Enfield Estate Agents, before spending more than five years as a branch manager at Your Move. He then served at Purplebricks before going on to manage another branch at Manning Stainton. Cavalier then transitioned to financial services, becoming a mortgage consultant at Sequence UK, before joining Evolve Financial Solutions as a new build mortgage broker and later a mortgage team leader.

Mortgage Brain has grown its customer success team with two new appointments. Richard Bethune-Wright and Ashley Cope have joined the firm as customer success administrators. As part of their new roles, the pair will support the sales and marketing team with the migration of existing users from legacy products onto the latest versions of Mortgage Brain’s modules, and will onboard new clients onto the Mortgage Brain Hub platform. Cope comes from a customer services background and has management experience in the catering and hospitality industry. Bethune-Wright joins with more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, having held previous customer success roles with Acre Software, Constantia Wealth & Finance, and Trussle.

Yorkshire Building Society has unified its mortgage business to make it easier for people to buy and improve their homes. The mutual is bringing together its three separate mortgage businesses together under a single ‘Homes’ division to deliver simpler processes, faster decisions and more consistent outcomes that deliver greater value for customer and brokers. As part of the transformation, Tom Simpson has been appointed as managing director of Homes, leading the new division and overseeing strategy, proposition and distribution across Yorkshire Building Society, Accord Mortgages and YBS Commercial.
