News in brief - 4 November 2025

e4 Strategic has appointed Jackie Bennett OBE as a non-executive director. The appointment comes as the business continues to expand its presence in the UK and drive adoption of its VERSA digital workflow platform across the mortgage lending and conveyancing sectors. Bennett, who is currently chair of the Bank of England’s Residential Property Forum, brings almost 25 years’ experience in mortgage shaping and housing policy. At e4 Strategic, Bennett will provide independent guidance, governance expertise and strategic input as the business scales its UK operations.

Gareth Roberts has been appointed chief financial officer at pensions, benefits, wealth and investment advisory challenger brand, Isio. As part of the role, he will oversee the organisation’s financial operations and work to enable Isio to offer comprehensive, long-term solutions in benefits, wealth and investment for its clients. He will join Isio from his most recent position as finance director at the insurance broker, Howden.

Nationwide has enhanced its interest only offering in order to give homeowners more flexibility. Interest only lending will be extended to all buyer types up to 75% LTV or up to 85% LTV if it’s a part interest only, part capital repayment application. The building society has also expanded its repayment options beyond the existing sale of main residence, to include UK-based savings, investments, pension funds and other properties.
