PEXA joins Conveyancing Association

The Conveyancing Association (CA) has announced that PEXA, a digital platform for transacting remortgage cases, has become its latest affiliate member.

PEXA recently launched in the UK to work with UK lenders, the Land Registry and legal and conveyancing firms.

Established in 2010, PEXA has facilitated over 13 million property transactions worth around AUD $2trn in Australia. It has a platform for the UK housing market with an initial focus on digital remortgage, and a sale and purchase platform due to launch in 2024.

PEXA recently announced the first two lenders – Hinckley & Rugby Building Society and Shawbrook Bank – that will be able to transact remortgage cases through its platform. The firm plans to announce more partnerships with lenders throughout 2023.

General manager, industry readiness at PEXA, Heather Crichton, said: “Collaboration is critical to the way we operate at PEXA. We want to ensure our offering meets the needs of our customers – conveyancing firms and lenders – and enables them to support a better remortgaging, buying, and selling experience for those buying, selling or remortgaging their home.

“Joining the CA as an affiliate member is crucial to this – aligning ourselves with the peak body for conveyancing professionals gives us an opportunity to ensure we are addressing the pain points felt by industry and working towards creating a digital conveyancing community for the betterment of the UK.”

The CA, the trade body for the conveyancing industry, is working with a growing number of affiliate members. The Association offers the opportunity for engagement with its member firms via events and meetings, the provision of special offers, branding on promotional material and advertising through newsletters and merchandising material.

Non-executive chair at the CA, Nicky Heathcote, added: “We are very pleased to welcome PEXA UK as the CA’s newest affiliate member and we are looking forward to working with them, introducing their proposition to our member firms, and seeing them take part in the Association’s events and conference.

“Having launched its platform very recently, PEXA UK is now placing itself at the heart of the conveyancing world by becoming an Affiliate member. I have no doubt that PEXA UK will add a great deal to the Association in the months and years ahead.”
