Smartr365 to partner with Mortgage Engine

Smartr365 has announced it will integrate with Mortgage Engine to enhance its direct-to-lender connections.

Users of Smartr365, the end-to-end mortgage platform, will now have access to both Santander for Intermediaries and NatWest Intermediary Solutions for automated decision in principle (DIP) submissions.

The new partnership expands Smartr365’s lender connections, coming after integrations with Halifax in March 2018, and Nationwide in June earlier this year.

The integration will also give Smartr365 users multi-DIP functionality for both new lenders, and advisers will also have access to other new lenders connected with Mortgage Engine in the future.

Smartr365 CEO, Conor Murphy, commented: “Smartr365 is driven by making advisers’ day-to-day roles easier. Simplifying the application process is a vital step in this, and that starts with automating DIPs.

“Our new partnership with Mortgage Engine will automate this process for our users when submitting to Santander and NatWest, saving time and money and helping them to focus on delivering outstanding customer service.

“We look forward to the future development of the partnership as we work together to improve the mortgage process.”

Smartr365 revealed that live testing will begin in December 2019, with users set to have full access to Santander and NatWest’s services from the end of January 2020. The end-to-end mortgage platform said the new partnership will eventually expand beyond DIPs to cover the full mortgage application process with all lenders accessible through Mortgage Engine.

Mortgage Engine managing director, Cloe Atkinson, added: “We launched Mortgage Engine to help improve efficiencies at every stage of the mortgage application process. Mortgage Engine works like a travel adaptor connecting the back-end systems of intermediaries to those of lenders through API-powered technology.

“The platform will also enable brokers to track their cases and get minute-by-minute updates on the status of applications. Integrating with Smartr365 takes this further to deliver a slick, joined-up mortgage journey for customers.

“Through Mortgage Engine, Smartr365 will immediately reap the rewards of a faster application process with multi-DIP potential, and advisers will have access to even more lenders in the future as we establish new connections.”
