Tuscon Capital has appointed Katie Wilsher-Garratt as its new regional sales director for the Home Counties. As part of the newly created role, she will be responsible for developing existing and new broker relationships across the region, helping firms to identify short-term finance opportunities and help them develop their propositions in this area. Wilsher-Garratt brings over 20 years of experience to the role, having worked for a number of lenders including Money Partners, GE Money, Link Lending/Link Loans, Shawbrook Bank and Focused Lending. She joins from Central and Mercantile Trust, where she was most recently head of intermediary sales.

Aneal Chohan has been appointed as the new regional sales manager at HLPartnership. As part of the role, he will focus on network growth through recruitment and internal sales development and will engage with member firms looking to increase their market share by providing guidance and support. He started his career at Royal Bank of Scotland, before joining Connells estate agents as a mortgage adviser. In 2020, Chonan took non the role of area manager for Just Mortgages’ self employed division, supporting brokers in their transition to self-employment.

Just Mortgages has made a strategic shift to the Smartr365 platform for its CRM and back-office systems. The broker said that this is moving to Smartr365 in order to streamline operations and enhance its customer service through technology integration. It signifies a step for Just Mortgages, by leveraging technologies and benefiting from the security and scale of the advisory network. The end-to-end platform for mortgage advisers allows for customers to complete their own fact find, while verifying their ID, address and income using Experian services that have been integrated within the Smartr365 homebuyer app.
