Atom bank has reduced rates across its entire range of prime mortgage products. Rates are being reduced by up to 0.15% across the bank’s range, following a cut of up to 0.45% at the end of May. The latest cuts mean that Atom is competitive for borrowers with smaller deposits. The two- and five-year fixes with a £900 fee and at 90% LTV start at 5.54% and 5.04% respectively, while its three- and five-year fixes at 95% LTV with no application fee start at 5.59% and 5.24% respectively. In addition, Atom has cut its retention products by up to 0.15%, with its two- and five-year fixes starting at 5.64% and 4.99% respectively at up to 75% LTV and with no application fee.

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has completed the purchase of nine leasehold flats in record time, saving the client a six-figure sum in stamp duty, in partnership with The Buy To Let Broker. The £1.2m was finalised in 15 working days, overcoming obstacles to achieve a successful outcome. HTB was called upon due to the complexities and urgency of the case. Bridging finance was not a viable option for the client, needing a lender with the capabilities to handle a complex transaction to secure the deal. The transaction involved numerous challenges, including the presence of vulnerable tenants, two sets of ILAs and one unit lacking an energy performance certificate. Despite these challenges, HTB said its team successfully navigated every obstacle to deliver an outcome for the client.

NatWest has reduced rates across its residential purchase and remortgage ranges by up to 0.17%. The largest reductions are across its five-year fixed remortgage range with an 80% LTV product down to 4.97% with a £1,495 product fee or 5.02% with a £995 fee. In the lender’s two-year remortgage range, rates have been cut by up to 0.15%, with highlights including a 75% LTV product, down by 13 bps to 4.98% with a £1,495 fee and 5.03% with a £995 fee. Across NatWest’s residential purchase range, two-year fixed rates now start from 4.78% at 60% LTV with a £1,495 fee. 75% LTV purchase products start from 4.84%, while 80% LTV products begin from 5.03%. For first-time buyers, two-year fixed rates start from 5.13% and 5.43% at 85% and 90% LTV respectively, while five-year rates start at 4.69% and 4.92% respectively.
